No mater where you are this year, we are here to offer you recreation and fitness opportunies to keep you active and engaged wherever you may be. Lakehead Orillia Athletics and Health and Wellness has partnered with Lakehead Campus Recreation to present a variety of virtual options for you to stay healthy at home.

Online Intramurals
Students all across the world are able to participate in our simple esports tournaments, featuring games such as NBA2k, FIFA 20, Rocket League, and more! Stay tuned for details at the end of September.
Running with the Wolves – Intro to Running Club
Connect with your Lakehead Community as your learn to run! Simple easy to follow plans are sent out weekly to program participants, who will connect via Strava to help encourage and motivate each other to meet their goals.
Wolves on the Move
Each week, members of this Strava Club Community will be encouraged to participate in fun challenges that can be completed by all movers! Connect with your Lakehead Peers in these fun challenges to stay active all year long.
WOLVES ON THE MOVE 100-HOUR CHALLENGE!
Looking for some motivation to get active this summer? The Healthy at Home team is challenging you to log 100 hours of physical activity between May 17 and September 5. You’ll receive virtual postcards when you hit certain milestones along the way. At the end of summer, you’ll receive badges for all of your achievements!
We will be providing updates, encouragement and resources to help you with your challenge and you can connect and cheer on your fellow Thunderwolves.
This program is open to current students, incoming students, staff, faculty, and alumni from either Campus. All participants will be entered into a prize draw with the winner announced in August.
HERE’S HOW IT WORKS:
- Sign up and accept the invitation to the Wolves on the Move Strava Group
- Log your activities into Strava either manually or by syncing your fitness tracker or smartwatch
- We track your progress and notify you when you hit milestones
- Get moving!
Live Fitness Classes
2x a week, Live Fitness Classes are offered on ZOOM through Lakehead Campus Rec.
Fitness on Demand Library
Not able to tune into our Live Classes? No worries – use our bank of classes (new classes added every week!) to workout on your own schedule!
In order to help you juggle your class schedule, work, and whatever else you have on your plate, an on demand fitness library will be developed throughout the semester as more classes get recorded. They are stored on google drive, so simply log in to your lakehead email address to access!
